    I'm not too knowledgeable on mantis shrimps, but google pseudosquilla ciliata and see if that's what you think you've got.

    Yeah, really cool! I'm hoping to set up a small tank with one of these in the new year, actually.

    We start off fearing the mantis shrimp, but end up loving them :p

    thanks guys havin just read up on p ciliata i think it possibly is one i will continue to watch its behaviour for another week or so and if it is then its going back to the shop i want a smasher :(

    i have a smasher (peacock) but the shops around me refuse to carry the spearers unfortunatly

    i could get a peacock but only a little set up done specificaly for a mantis wanted an n wenerae or a g smithii but no luck oh well this 1s quite a caracter who knows i may keep him/her lol

    Did he start off in the cup, or did you catch him? If so, how did you catch him? (I'm trying to catch one myself in my tank)

    thanks amcarrig i have looked at roys list many times and im convinced its a p ciliata due to the cross hatching on the eyes but thanks for the help always appreciated
