Aiptasia doesn't look like that. I would guess some kind of algae, maybe bryopsis?

Do you mean that feathery looking thing? It might be bryopsis - I think I read that can have a feathery appearance.

I would have to agree with blackraven. It def. looks like bryopsis. I had a very minute bit of bryopsis after my cycle and that looks very similar.

Yes, I was referring to the feather looking thing. Is bryopsis bad? What measures should I take to remove it. Also, I dont not think this is Aiptasia....

There are many debates right now on how to beat bryopsis. I didn't have a bad outbreak at all, just a bit on the sandbed and side of the tank. I just did manuel removal to get out as much as I could, cut back on my lighting and made sure I had no PO4's or NO3's. That worked for me. Elevated Mag. levels can help as well. But yes, bryopsis is bad and can't take over your whole tank if you daon't keep it in check.

    hmmmmm....no idea!!!

    I'd take a look at reefcleaners.org
They have a whole section on different marine algae with photos.

See what you can come up with there . . .
