SushiGirl: No I have no clue as to what it is but it looks very similar to the link you posted... I'm trying to do some research on it now... Seems as though they sting humans to the touch... Glad I read that part before I stuck my hand in and tried to rip it out...

 

I have never heard of non-green Bryopsis, so I can't believe that's what that is. I have Fern Caulerpa in my fuge (that grainy picture is hard to see but that does not look anything like what I have), and again, I have never heard of a non-green Fern Caulerpa, so I'm pretty sure it's not that either. As to what it is, I'm not sure as I can't see it clearly enough. Sorry, not trying to sound rude, but I just can't see it very well and it looks like it's clear, not green. The closest suggestion that sort of looks like your pic is the Christmas Tree Hydroid.

Might be a good idea to get a better picture if you can.

 

Can someone give me more details about Hydroids? I dont know anything about them at all...
