I was viewing my tank closely from the side earlier today and noticed a very small bug(it looks like a rolly-polly), deep in the substrate. It is white-ish to clear in color and is too small to see any noticeable eye-spots. I couldn't get a picture. I only saw one and when I went to get the camera, it was gone when I came back. Is this a bad critter?

    Please help. Thanks

A snail without a shell? Perhaps? I've seen many snails in my tank who don't have a shell..

If smaller then maybe a coepod? A nudibranch? Peanut worm? Slug?

The roly-poly description would indicate an amphipod to me. Good thing to have. amphipod - Google Search

Keep the camera close by your tank and be ready next time.

Its not a slug. Less than a cm in length and it has legs.

it looks like an amphipod to me. Not certain though.
