    These started popping up all over my tank, i have no clue what they are. Are they bad?... if so, how do i get rid of them ... thanks for the insight.

    IMO, theyre only bad if they start to mutliply out of control. and thats only because i dont like their look. but theyre totally harmless. you will see a few popup and chances are they may not survive too long.

    I think they're good too. They're good extra filtration and particle catchers ;)

    They do go crazy in some people's tanks.... then they aren't as much fun. They are also sharp due to the calcium based structure.... be wary of getting cuts.

    IMO they are good unless they get out of control like said above. I have a rock in my fuge that had like 50 on a small 1/4 lb. piece of rock. Most of them are whit but I have a few that are RED and even 1 or 2 ORANGE ones. The colored ones are really cool IMO. If only they were all bright colors instead of white LOL.
