ID this seed looking thing

well i just got my new Zoas and a small frag of a ricordea and a clown for my clown lol. <<TEASE>>


and i found this seed looking thing stuck to it. i took it off and put it on top of a rock.. can someone give me an ID?

its not a snail.

 

looks like a filter feeding type clam/mussel whatever

 

I was thinking the same thing. a small type of clam

 

Was it opened right before you touched it? Did it close when you touched it? If so, thats a clam.

it was sort of attached to the back of the zoas rock so if it closed i didnt see.. i kinda just pulled it off because i thought it was a loose piece of rock. ( had to pull somewhat)

it does kinda look like a clam because it has the little line where it could open. ( but im not sure if its dead)

 

I think its a clam and if you put it back in your tank, it will live.
