    I think you are talking about a glass nem and they are not good at all powerful sting and they do multiply pretty fast. I had one in my old nano and in 2 months I had about 7-8 of them.

    it is in a low flow low light area. it is not as spikey anymore and my peppermint shrimp has not touched it. i had one aptasis in the tank which was gone the next morning after adding the shrimp.

    It's not an appy. It really is the beginning of a sponge. If may or may not grow. Some flourish, some fade away. I have a lot in one of my tanks. They look just like that.

    Here is an update to the thread. It has gotten a lot larger.. and I believe I see it growing in two other places. Starting to get concerned..

    It's just sponge. It will grow for a while, then likely die out when the nutrients are lower in the tank. Nothing to be concerned about.
