    I ordered the CUC from John and just added them into the tank yesterday..

    Not unusual for that to happen. If you ordered Nerites they will likely lay eggs soon also. They will be much larger and laid all of the tank. Unfortunately they will most likely not hatch or survive like the Cerith eggs.
