So I took some photos tonight now that the new coral is looking better. The tank is almost 3 months old now. I need to invest in a macro lens in the near future. My individual coral photos are not very good.

I am still trying to figure out the names for all of the new stuff.. I also haven't been keeping track of some of the names of the stuff I already had and am forgetting...I need to start some sort of log.

    Here are some tank shots.

I will have to start a second build thread I suppose. It is going to be a sloooow build but here is what Day one of my new 180 build looked like:

The tank is sitting on the stand backwards at the moment.

Your reef tank is beautiful. I have high expectations of your next. :) I like the stand it is on, btw.

    Thanks!

Thanks! It will be a reef tank and thats about as far as my plan goes. I am also leaning towards black sand with a black tank back. Specifically I have no plans yet. Open to input... Don't want the two tanks to look the same.

Also - looking for suggestions on what to do next - what to add etc..

Went to a "Reef Fest" recently in Salt Lake City. Had a great time and had a chance to talk to some vendors & Manufacturers of everything from Food to Skimmers. They had guest speakers will all sorts of back grounds, a great raffle from which I won a nice external pump! And last but not least were frag vendors... AMAZING frags for sale. I bought some more zoa frags, Paly frags, a new frog spawn, a hammer, some acans, a Green Monti and a cool neon stony. It was a great experience and I would recommend going to an event like this if you haven't been before and have the chance. Here are a few photos I took during the event.

So I was gone over the weekend... came home to a small area of my Green Pacillipora covered in brown slime... Uh oh.... I acted fast and pulled out the entire colony - cut off everything affected and even a few branches that looked like they potentially were. 24 hrs later I don't see any more brown slime.. and no other corals have been infected yet. I hope I don't see that again.. looks like it can take a colony out quick.

I also had one of my newest frags - a Wild Green Acropora fall over on to a digi frag. It killed off half of the digi frag in the matter of 12 hours.

Other than these two problems things are going great. I need to get some photos of my newest frags posted up.

So no more signs of brown slime! Happy about that.

So I finally took a few photos of most my new frags I bought at the recent SLC reef fest...

    ^ha - thanks!

Things are going great still.. Recently fragged lots of my SPS and and zoas and took them with me on a trip to Portland. Made some GREAT trades. Just put everything in the tank yesterday - will get some photos in the next day or so.

Also, over the past month or so I have been battling a little bit of cyno and flat worms. I would siphon off both about once a week. It seems that between the siphoning and the addition of a yellow and six-line wrasse my flat worm issue is all but gone. But the small cyno issue remains... its not terrible but is annoying. I cut my feedings back some... wondering what else to try. I think it might also be partly due to the age of my tank.. seems like a lot of tanks around the 4 month deal with this don't they?
