So I figured I would take a few minutes and bump this thread and get caught up... We moved back in January and I had to move my tank... we moved about 2.5 hours South. Middle of winter. Im not going to go into what happened with the tank move - but will say it didn't go well. By the time I got it tore down, moved and set back up I lost half of my SPS (of course all of the large colonies :( ) and half of my fish. I was so ticked off that I nearly just offered everything up to anyone who wanted to come and get the rest of it. Im still a bit sick over losing so much... but 4 months later things are starting to look good again. I have no flat worms still (one benefit to the move, I somehow managed to kill off the flat worms) and only two Aiptasia nems found. The tank still doesn't look as good (in my opinion) as it did before but I think its on its way. My SPS are all showing growth again, my zoas are doing ok.. not quite as good as before but ok. LPS seem to be doing great. Purple clove polyp went crazy and now I regret putting it in. All water parameters have been great almost from the beginning. I switched salt brands from Oceanic to Ocean pure as my alk was just to difficult to maintain. I also replaced all of my T5 bulbs with new lights ordered through ReefGeek.

Anyway... here is the tank now. some of my star polyp was not out when I took these shots...

Sorry to hear of your struggles with the tank over the move. :( Considering what happened, the tank still looks very nice.

    Update:

Things went from bad to worse after my move... eventually I lost all of my SPS and LPS.. ugh.. clams, fish, zoas etc.. were fine. After the SPS and LPS died I had an outbreak of Algae and it was hard to stay ambitious! I worked through it and for the past 4 months or so have done nothing but maintain and fight the algae. Ive about beaten it.. Decided to add a frag of SPS and sure enough... 4 days later its not doing so good. My water tests are looking great. But then Im not sure I trust my test kits when it comes to some things like phosphate. My bulbs are ATI and what the expert at Reefgeek recommends and are about 4 months old. My RODI filters and resin were changed out about 3 weeks ago and two water changes ago. Im scratching my head and really miss my SPS.

Am thinking about trying to improve water quality since the only thing I can think is that some phosphates or silicates etc. must be getting through my RODI system. Thinking about adding two reactors and running phosban in one and carbon in the second. Here is what Im thinking... thoughts would be appreciated!

    Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor

When i was getting my reactors I researched TLF and alot of people say they are leaky and a p.i.t.a. so i went with BRS. They sell a dual reactor but two separate ones is what most people go for. I ran a dual on my 55 and it worked great though!
