Im not Seano or Reefbruh but I endorse Spectrapure all the way (wish I knew about them originally) and will get one of their units on my next RO/DI purchase. And as far as placement I simply fill a 35 gallon trashcan bu unhooking the washer and hooking up my unit in the laundry room then store the water in my garage til needed, end up filling the can about every 10-14 days

I just ordered all new filters and membranes from Spectrapure. My RO/DI unit is not Spectrapure but I won't get anything from anyone else again. They are great, and I would think that just for the tech support they are the best route to go! Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

Got about 8 hours in last night and get to work about half of the day today and tomorrow. I plan on having this thing finished by Sunday evening. I got lucky and found a great deal on an almost new RO/DI system locally so I hope to start making water later today.

Photos from yesterday. Basically everything is put together - just need to do a final sanding and start applying polyurethane... then I can mount the doors, anchor down the top etc... after that I can move into the house! Thing has to weigh close to 200 pounds or more! lol.

    Sitting without doors on.

I forgot to show the sump sitting on a piece of low density foam I bought. This was recommended by melevsreef.com so I thought I should do it.

Very nice wood work. Because of you I built my canopy. I have the base done and going to HD to get the rest of the wood. Thank you for the boost of confidence.

AQUARIUM REEF RO 150G REVERSE OSMOSIS +2DI WATER SYSTEM - eBay (item 200501693023 end time Jul-31-10 15:38:48 PDT)

Idaho-Tank. If its not too late, ide def. recommend that RO/DI unit. Its the one I have, and I am nothing but 100% satisfied with it. Has 2 DI resin membranes for that added assurance of 0ppm. There replacement filters are also very reasonably priced, and ship very quickly.

Onto the sump, in my personal experience, ide leave water in it for a weeks time. I built a refugium, and had it under my tank leak proof for nearly a week, before it sprung a leak, and I woke up to a soaked floor one morning. Also, on your return pipes into the sump. If you cut the ends at a 45* angle, and have them about 1/2 way into the water, it will be a much smoother transition, and alot quieter.
