Wow. Thanks for the detailed list. This is what I was hoping for. I am going to look into those.

Well that is what I have done in the past with the 20 long. I don't know how much perception was reality but it seemed to be a bit of a see-saw.

    I do like those corals.

Aye I do love clams too. hmmm

    Thanks all! Keep it coming..

COol idea Steve. I like it a lot. I do love Zoas too.

Man I love monti caps - but I had no luck in my last nano. But this tank is about twice the water volume with the sump. Hmmm.. Zoas and clams look good again..

Time is always an issue - 3reef takes more and more of my free time. My tech jobs are time suckers too... but I am devoted to making this one work. I learned a lot from the mistakes on my last tank which was over-engineered and over-stocked.

I like Steve's idea of a bunch of zoas and maybe one or two other corals. I am really going to try and keep the overall numbers down on fish and coral. I think that is the way to go with nanos.

If you have crazy flow LPS could be a problem unless you protected coves to put them in. The coves would allow for the LPS to get food without spot feeding.

Given your mentioned time constraints I agree with Steve on a Zen zoa garden. Plate corals seem to fend for themselves at feeding time if you dump in your food so that it flows by them a couple of times. I have a trachy that has done quite well without spot feeding.
