I have an odyssea hood. If you go that route you will have to replace ballast and bulbs. I'm stillhappy with it but keep that in mind. That may not be necessary if you keep medium light corals. If I had it to do over I would just custom build with lumatek reflectors and T5 actinics, and I really like my icecap ballast.

i don't know what others think of it, but i have the Current Sundial Pendant. ( SunDial HQI Pendant | Current What's Next ) and i think it's great. it comes in 150W and 250W and has two 32W actinics. the ballast, fans and timers are all in the fixture so there's only one cord to plug in. the only downside is that the blues are PC and not T5, i'm thinking about getting tricky and converting it down the road. mine came with a hanging arm kit and a ceiling kit. here's a shot of what it looks like over my tank

I would use a 150w MH double ended pendant, or get one of those fixtures that also has T5s in it.

The bulbs have to be changed at about 6 months and I hear the ballasts usually go out at about 1 years. The bulbs you can price out on that same site and the ballast you could swap out for a $100 icecap ballast.

With only softies I dont think you would need this light though. Go with t5s.
