I have 2 sheets, a 3x8 and a 1x10, of Acrylic sheet. It's framing grade, very clear. Anyways I used what I needed and have 80% of what I paid for left. Would 3/16" be too thin for a tank?

EDIT: Topic title should be 3/16" not 3/32" which would be REALLY thin

umm is that less than a 1/4th inch? lol
if it is less you might be able to pull off a very small pico tank

You could make a tank cover out of it, that's what I did. I cut it to the size needed and drilled many holes in it for air flow. You could also make a frag rack.

What about a shallow display tank or frag tank? A local reefer has a tank in the neighborhood of 36x36x10 and it is just awesome too look at. Tons of floor space and a very unique perspective being able to get a good top down view. Lighting is also easier because of the shallow depth. Something like 20"x20"x8" with a euro brace would give you a pretty unique display at around 14 gallons. As long as you kept it shallow and properly braced you should be able to scale up/down decently.

I have alot of 1/4" acrylic leftover after I finished my 75gal sump. I just put it in my "outta' sight" closet because I'm always trying diy projects and figure it will be used/wasted on something later...lol.

3/16" you can make little tanks or containers. I made little isolation cubes out of my 3/16 scraps for in-tank quarantine. I just used one to house my shrinking anemone that my maroons have worn out, it helped. I also made a top-off water container for my ATO system out of scrap sheets, 10"x10"x12" but don't remember if I used 3/16" or 3/8" thick stock. It holds less than 4G, so there isn't much pressure to worry about. You can make a little pod cultivation tank.
