Good idea, there's a piece or two in there that is very porous. Yes, it was an established FOWLR. I'll give this trap a couple days and then start pulling some of the L/R out. There is definitely places that they congregate right now.

I have figured an easy way to do this. Stocked the tank with a ton of amphipods and some "mini" brittles today. I just yank out a piece of chaeto from my fuge. Stick some shrimp in the center and put it in the amphipod tank for about 2-3 days. Simply remove ball of chaeto and put in display for 2 days. Chaeto then goes back to fuge. I got to looking around my tank last night when the moon came up. Not only is the population rediculous, they are monstrous size. I am also starting to see copepods in my fuge. I seeded the fuge a few weeks back. They are too small to make out but, aren't isopods or amphipods.

run a pump with a filter sock on the output and move it around the tank.
Don't know if it would work but sounds like it to me :)

I've done something similar to that using siphon. The problem is that they are too strong, they tend to cling to everything pretty tightly when they are being sucked up. + I don't want to suck up any of the substrate.
