When the new rock arrives just start creating stable stacks. Try to have some caves and open swimming areas through the rocks.

Get the rock, make up a scape, then ask for opinions.

Go to the "Show off your tank" forum and look at other peoples' scapework. That helped me a lot with my new tank. :)

Test out different scapes on the floor or outside. Try different stacking ideas and post pictures. That way you can get an idea of what you want without having your hands in the tank for hours. Which if you are like me it will literally take you HOURS to come up with a setup you like lol.

Also a masonary drill bit and some zip ties can be your friend if you want to get really creative. Heres a crappy picture of the scape I just did in my 65 last weekend.

That's actually pretty unique! I like it! Never seen a scape like that.

    Thanks ;D

I originally started out with the whole "reef wall" thing using alot more rock. After HOURS and HOURS of messing with it, I ended up with this and I LOVE it. Now I go back through the pictures I took of the wall setups and say "what was I thinking???"

If it were "raw" (for lack of a better word atm), yes you could be correct. However, reputable distributors do test this material before selling as aquarium deco.
