Want to know exactly what kind of anemone it is.

I have had these for about 5to6 months they wonder around a little bit, 5 have a green oral disc and  2 of them have a pink disc with green dots down the stalk. They are not multiplying fast same number as 5 months ago,but they are getting larger. The one in this pic went from around dime size to over halfdollar size.it used to have 1row of tenticals but now has 3 going on 4.I just took a good look at it again and it is definatly bigger than a halfdollar.

    Oh yeah.I feed them well

I would not be to sure that they are the dreaded majano.
Because they are not multiplying like nutz and they wander around a little,I guess the majano dont wander .Thanx for the info though..

    anyone else have anther idea?

Not so.  I have majanos in my tank and they wander plenty when they need to.  How long has your tank been set up for?  I found that mine didn't start reproducing until my tank was mature (about 9 months after set up) and now they won't stop.  :( Keep a close eye on what you've got and hopefully, this won't be the case! :)

Here's a pic of mine when they were in my 55 gallon seahorse tank. The color is a bit washed out but you get the idea :)

well i kinda give up,i have posts on other sites and everyone thinks a different thing.1 guy says zooanthid anemones another rock anemones, flower anemones, polyps

one thing i dislike about marine aquarium keeping is that there seems to be multiple names for the same creature or fish.
I have run into this more than once in the past 5 months i have been doing this.

but i will keep an eye on them.
My current tank has been setup 3 1/2 months.had a 20 gallon before that.

David mason:i feed them about every 3 days.the big one i give a nice sized chunk of thawed frozen shrimp

    More info
The one in the picture stands about 1 3/4 high, the stalk is about 3/4 around(this varies), the disc is nearly 2"+ across .this all varies because it changes often

I just compared the picture to the real thing.
the larger shot is real real close to actual size

Well I may be wrong but I think that would rule out zooanthids..
I don't thing they would eat a "nice size" hunk of frozen shrimp .
so they must be anemones Am I right on this Matt?
The spots I see on the stalks remind me of my spotted long tentacle
but then they would migrate to the sand and bury there foot in the sand? not sure but I think that what you feed them and how often would rule out zooanthids or some kind of coral.
