    I spotted these little brownish looking things, and got worried they might be aiptasia. The white looking area they are sprouting on is the lower portion of this colt coral???? The colt is attached to a tennis ball size rock with a few different color sponges, couple red looking tube worms, bunch of tiny looking feather dusters, it is full of life but this is alarming, any help would be great.

    Star Polyps or Aiptasia are my guesses. Star polyps usually have a calcified base which I don't see so that would lean me toward Aiptasia more. I just can't give a definitive answer unless I could see it more clearly but they are so small it seems it would be very difficult to get a clearer picture.
