IDK what this fish is.

    I caught this fish in florida. I think it is some kind of blenny. It is not listed in any of my identification books [​IMG]

    it does look like a hawkfish. the typical ones I've seen white and orange spotted.

    it hangs out on the substrate and does not like to swim in the current. It has little perching arms like a hawkfish or blenny though. It is from the Atlantic so that should greatly cut the options.

    I think some type of Blenny... Maybe Barfin Blenny

    Giant Hawkfish are black and white, and I also feel like I've see this fish recently either in store or in diver's den and it was labeled a hawkfish. I'd try to find a page dedicated to different hawks if no one here knows.

    It was caught on a bridge leg, So it does like holes and structure if that helps. I have a book with all of the Atlantic fish, but it doesn't seem to match any. The closest one in the book is lol....I forgot , but it's a blenny
