I would give half to my parents, invest 1/4 of it in CDs and saings, the other 1/8 would go to buying a house out right, the other 1/8 will be play time.

When I first read the thread title I was thinking of a different type of cheating.

When I first read the thread title I was thinking of a different type of cheating.[/QUOTE] Yeah,me to!

After i set me and my family up with all the normal lottery winner stuff, bills paid off, nice house on lake erie or the east coast,a couple nice cars and a boat. But i would make a large contribution to the James Cancer Research Hospital in Columbus Ohio and the United Way for both being truly generous and helpful during a very trying time of my and my family's life.I owe them both greatly. And of coarse 1 room of the house would be dedicated strictly to tanks with all the trimmings,equipment/storage room,i'd have eveything from fancy goldfish to planted to brackish species only to the baddest reef ever,oh don't even get me started!:cheesy:

Buy/rent huge motor home and travel for 3-6 months.
Park motor home and get on plane and travel for 3-6 months.
Come home and decide where I would want to live permanatly then start looking for land to build my new home.
    Buy land, build home, furnish
wake up early every morning and drink coffee on the back porch while doing nothing.

I would like to share the composition, but it's written in Spanish and also I want to wait until my wife gets her grade on this stuff. I don't want the teacher googling parts of this composition and find it on a fish forum, although that would explain the majority of the paragraphs :)
I'll post it in a few days if you're still interested in the composition ;)

John, with all due respect, in such a case I don't think any of us could outrun the IRS!!! :)

@ SkyFire, you seem to have the whole thing very well planned!!! Do you play lottery often? I did play today, keeping my fingers crossed!!! Who knows... maybe one of this days I'll be able to say I have everything I always wanted and that all I have left to do is just enjoy life!! I don't really think it would bother me at all spend the rest of my life enjoying. I'm not the type of person that "Has to work" when I could just live on recreation land :D

Yes I play, not religiously and only a dollar or 2 on the larger draws since I know the minimum amount needed for my plans. I'm a smart person with one of the most boring jobs in the world so I have to entertain myself somehow....so I think about a lot of stuff doodle out plans for whatever I've been thinking about.

I'd take a lump sum payout because properly invested it can grow to over the original winning ammout in the same # of years they'd take to pay you...that's with living well off some of the interest... & reinvesting so you get compound interest....and the beauty is you'll pay less taxes since capital gains taxes are capped at around 20%. Can you guess my field of study for college...LOL;D.

Oh & I'd establish residence in a no/low personal income tax state :D
