ok I recently purchased a 2 or 3 inch fuzzy dwarf lionfish. He will only eat live food so my question is how do i get him to eat frozen? ive tried the prawns and cotton line but he just seams scared. he has ony eaten live ghost shrimp for me. thanks for the info.

Have you tried frozen mysis soaked in garlic? Fatten it up on live for about a week then try only frozen for a few days. Then repeat the process.

+1 for mikejrice idea, it took a while for our lionfish to make the switch, I occasionally used a wooden shish-kabob skewer with a piece of thawed shrimp on it and kind of wiggle it around to entice him, that worked after a while too

I tried silversides with my small volitan and he completely ignored them..then i got some frozen krill and he was eating out of my hand on the first day..not too sure why...but it's worth a shot!

i had same problems...and i found this, i asked it to be sticky because it really helps people who have lionfish. it took me about 1 week 1/2 to get him fully weaned...now he only eats silver sides and maybe a ghost shrimp once in a while for a treat.
