I changed the positioning of my powerheads and one of my sponges has drastically changed color. From a bright purple/blue to a very faded purple.

I have been feeding a bit heavier the last few days in an attempt to increase my DOM levels to encourage it through the flow change. Any thoughts on if it will recover alright?

IME it is pretty hit or miss. Carbon dosing and silica dosing may help. Sponges grow to current though, if the current changes particles start getting stuck in the tissue causing necrosis.

Yeah that is what I am scared of. I tried to keep the flow going past it the same way but velocity has surely changed.
My other sponges were not affected by the move.

Let us no how it works out. With good conditions there is always better odds. Also some blue sponges will die, break up and regenerate. Not sure if that is what you have... Anyways, sorry, I can't help more...

    Anything is appreciated!

I have seen it do this once before, almost a year ago when I transferred tanks. It lost some tissue, but after shrinking, it returned to normal color and started growing back again.
