if your company is planning a training day

be organized and plan ahead! At 12pm today the company shut down so we can all watch these training videos on our computers...there is like 10 of them lasting anywhere between 10minutes to 30 min a piece.

Well, first of all there are no headphones in this place. So only those of us who listen to ipods are able to use the headphones, otherwise people are listening through the monitor speakers all on different parts of the session.

Second of all, they must have only licensed 1 copy of this program for all of us to do....so every couple of words the program freezes and has to catch up, so those 10 minute programs are lasting an hour!!

hopefully its not something done on a regular basis

an I pod and 3 reef during working hours, is not bad compensation IME lol?

WOW.....just when I think XYZ Healthcare can't make any more stupid decisions, they surprise me.

 

Ipod became a problem for me though
I had to have people poking me to tell me my phone was ringing

sort of dead giveaway that your mind is not focused on the task in hand

if i didnt have my ipod i think i would poke my eyes out everyday! LOL!!!!

 

I hope poking your eyes out is something that was covered in the training video?

Take comfort in the fact that your supervisor who can't handle anyone talking AT ALL must be going insane with this cacophony of computer speakers all playing something different.
