I want to get an Ignitus Anthias. It's supposed to be one of the hardier ones, but I've never kept one. I have a 90 gal bow front. Would I need one or two? Thanks to anybody who has any advice they would like to share.

Ok to start off, no they are not hard to keep AFTER you get them to eat in your tank.

Get some good high quality food.

    My anthias love this stuff.
Once eating, they will eat like pigs.

They also tend to do better is sets of 3. This will be 1 male and 2 female. You can get all female and the dominate will change to male.

    Just wanted to add.....

Get your food before you get the fish, or same time if your LFS stocks it. It does not take long for an anthias to starve. The longer they go without food, the harder it is to get them eating again.

they are not hard to keep they just have very high metabolisms and need to be fed everyday.i feed mine mysis, krill, squid etc. with selcon

I would recommend making sure your filtration is up to par for the major increase in bio-load (all the feeding + high metabolism = more poop).
