Those are the guys you want when something dies, they'll make quick work of the dead, and nitrate won't go up. A good cleaner crew can eliminate even a large fish in a few hours. Really frighteningly efficient.

They're _ALL_ good for the tank. If you want specifics talk to one of our sponsors. Reef Cleaners - 3reef Forums. Post in that forum with your tank size, rock quantity, sand bed depth etc, or fill out the form here ReefCleaners.org | Clean Up Crews and Macro Algae and he will get back to you. He can suggest (and sell you at a good price) what you need if your crew is incomplete or make recommendations on what to remove if there is a problem. He is as far as I'm concerned the authority here on inverts.

Slugs? What kind of slugs? I've also never heard of an algae eating starfish. Any idea what kind it is?

It was my impression that starfish were detritus feeders (though they'll also munch on flake food)
