My clownfish spawned today! I walked in and saw them picking at their rock like they do pretty often, but they were acting a little unusual, I looked in and saw a bunch of bright orange bubbles on the rock... yay! It's not a huge clutch of eggs, and while I am typing this they're probably just eating them, but it's cool none the less.

I'm not in a position to rear this spawning, but as I understand once they mate they will do so fairly frequently, yes? They're ORA stock, and obviously I can't call the offspring ORA, but ORA is known for healthy captive reared clowns, so would it be worth trying to rear them?

What is the good clown book, I think the author is like Joyce Wilkerson or something like that?

Anyways, exciting day at my shop!

I was just commenting a few days ago to someone that they were bonded but haven't mated yet... now they have... sweet!

Check the DNA, hopefully you are not a daddy and only an uncle. LOL

As far as raising them, a guy in our club has had great success recently with rearing the fry in his house. I can get you a link to our site with the excat link of his thread.

They will spawn repeatedly in a known and reliable pattern, so next time you might be able to be ready for it.

You can do better than calling them ora, you can call them "fat back tank raised clowns" LOL
