    Thought I would document my progress, as my tank turns 1 year this month. This is just an example of what can be done with patience and persistence! Thanks to everyone who offered advice and encouragement, I've learned so much...

    oooo awwww, wish my tank looked that good at one year. kinda risky with the two hippos, dont be suprised if there truce breaks one day.

    Thanks everyone! I found 3reef when I first got the tank, so I did a ton of reading before I tried anything. I've lost a few things, and gained a bunch of coral, and spent a lot of money, but I can say I'm addicted!

    Seems like the rock would have darkened up w/ algae. Did you nuke the rocks recentlly?
