I am sure most of you do not know and/or remember me. Up until about 2011, I was a very active member of this forum until I had to take down my reef tank due to certain reasons, but not for my lack of interest in this hobby. For some background, in 2008 I started my first reef tank. It was a 55 gallon tank, I had a sump, refugium, skimmer, T5 lighting (then MH lighting), Vortech pump, tons of LPS and SPS and of course the fish. It started basic, but grew into, IMO, a pretty nice tank. In 2011, I took it down as I was getting married and moving. I sold the live stock and most of the equipment. Since then, I have always wanted to get back into the hobby, but no space for a tank. Fast forward to today, I work at a small law firm and we are moving offices. I toured the new office and what do I see, a nice salt water fish tank in the corner of one of the officers. I immediately get excited, but not too excited as there was no signed lease yet. Now, it's official. I will be inheriting a semi-circular, acrylic salt water tank. The tank itself is pretty nice, it's acrylic, about 3ft in diameter and about 30" tall, and holds about 66 gallons (if my math is correct). Currently there are some fake rocks and coral. The current livestock I could tell is a large Tomato Clown, Koran Angel; some type of wrasse; 4 blue damsels and a stripped fish I don't know what it is, and perhaps a few more, but I don't remember. It has a small LED fixture, but it's not on so I will need to investigate that. The nice part is that is has a built in overflow to an acrylic sump with bio-balls. I don't know if there was a skimmer. I have big plans for this tank. The current livestock list isn't ideal, but I will have to deal with it for now. I plan on adding live rock and getting rid of the plastic decor. I'm not 100% sure how I will do this yet, but I have some thoughts. I would like to put together a nice aquascape outside the tank, secure it together and then place it in, but that will probably cause a cycle, I may pre-cure the rock, then put it together. Or, I may just slowly add pieces until I have enough to remove the plastic decorations.

Anyways, I will be on here more. I'm sure the hobby has changed some in the past few years, so I will need to catch up. I see this site has changed pretty significantly. As a final momento, I have a picture of the new tank. You can see the angel, wrasse and larger spotted fish if you look closely. I won't be in the new office until the first week of October, so a fish guy is taking care of it for now.

Congrats and welcome back. Looking forward to your build, or should I say rebuild.

Welcome back. Looks to be a nice project and congrats on the new office. I believe that might be a juvenile emperor angel you have there, one of my favorite fish.

Hey Matt, glad to see you're still around. Looking forward to getting to know all the new guys. When I move in, I'll need to research the fish. I goal will be to add a few low light corals, maybe some lps down the road, but we'll see. I know it may be a problem with the angel.
