I went on a week long cruise with my family and my girlfriend last week. I had everything prepared:
ATO and auto-feeder on my 20G... check
Plenty of water in my sump for my 150G... check
Enough pods in my 12G for my horse... check

So we go off on our cruise and come back home yesterday. Everything was fine when I got home, so fires, no fried pumps, etc. All the animals were alive and happy. Although...
My 20G decided to have a case of cyano outbreak during the week we were gone. I have no idea why, the auto feeder was set to feed every other day, and only a pinch of pellets each time. My ATO water is RO/DI, tested to 0ppm TDS, my MH bulb is only 1 month old, and my T5 bulbs are only 3 months old.
My horse tank seems to have a case of dinos now too, grrrrr! :furious3:
The only thing that was introduced into that tank was the chaeto clumps that came with the horse. All I can imagine is that the chaeto had some spores when it came from the LFS.
So I have a little bit of work ahead of me now. Anyway, I'm back from my vacation hehe. ::)

Oh yeah, I went to one of my favorite LFS yesterday, only to find out they just closed up shop. I had no idea, it was only a month or 2 ago when I last went in. Good bye Total Tropical Fish, you will be missed. :(

No kidding. My vacation was actually a cruise up to Canada. We went to Victoria and Vancouver, so far from you. It was very nice, but the people in Vancouver weren't so nice, one of the girls in the Vancouver aquarium was ripping off the tourists by giving $1 coins instead of $2 coins. My gf and I knew better and called her bluff. lol

That's really good though that everything was fine when you got back. Cyno is not too hard to get rid of. That's really good to know.

I'm glad all went well and you had a good trip. Interesting - I've had cyano outbreak here recently too, and all I did was add some macroalgae to the fuge.....it's looking much better now, with some aggressive water changes and a little manual cleanup.

Thanks for the welcome backs everyone. I did take some pics at the aquarium, I'll post them as soon as I get them downloaded. I cut the lights on my DT the last 2 days and the cyano is dying off very fast. It looks like they are being fed by my T5 lights. :(
