Im frustrated, puffer infection?????

and he does have tons of white spots on his fins

 

doesn't look like ich to me, if it is ich then its a combonation of ich and something else. when i had ich in my tank my puffer was the only fish that wasn't affected, i think they have a very thick slime coat. kick-ich isn't a sure cure in more cases then not it has no effect. anyreef safe treatment will have minimal effect on ich. i think you best cure is great water quality. a cleaner wrasse isn't a cure IMO its more of a preventative thing, once there is a outbreak it won't be able to handle it, it may even get ich itself. Also im not even sure a wrasse will clean a puffer, ive never seen my wrasse clean my puffer(just a uneducated guess but i think its slime is toxic).

 

ok so here is what ive concluded......he seems to have gotten worse since i took the carbon out and start the kick-ich, so tonight i did a water change, a few days earlier than scheduled, and put a new carbon pack in my filter, i took the old one out for the meds.. tomorrow i am gonna go get a new 10g and start a hospitol tank........hopefully i dont lose this fish Thank you all for your input

 

Try slowly dropping your salinity to around 10.11 for a few weeks then slowly bring it back up. But slowly, Orr you'll get pop eye.

 

I am tempted to think that this could be Lateral Line Erosion Disease
