im grounded from the tank

Happens here as well.

I buy one coral a month no matter how much I can't stand it just to make the boss happy. This then allows me to do what I want with the tank until PMS strikes again.

 

OK let me see if I have this right...She wants you to not do the job that you normally do to keep things alive and in order so that she can share a few moments of coral buying with you. I'd be concerned my friend very much so. She is either playing with your mind or dosen't know how important these things are and how these fish and coral depend on their fishkeeper. That is a serious statement and cannot be taken lightly so unless you think your going to loose her if you don't comply to her request I think you need to do some soul searching. Weight out your feeling vs your options and then decide which way to go. Good luck.

 

in all honesty its ball and chain for all us xy chromosomes and we must obey or else face weeks of the worst parts of the bible. tank will be fine for a week without tinkering/testing and if you do need do something in the tank thats what flowers and nice things are for.. so you can trick her into thinking your sorry for_______.

 

If my girlfriend didn't respect my hobby, and tried to control me, honestly, I would have to show her the door. You are caring for a delicate ecosystem.

Unless you're so obsessed with your tank you pay no attention to her, this request is quite unreasonable. Go shopping for a new coral together? Please.
