im impressed

just get any kind of tubing..idk why but the pump pulls so hard that air bubbles came back into the intake tube and they relases from that barb thing, so by putting that airline tube coming from that barb back into the skimmer.. equals no bubbles..

 

if u can find it , i like the black airline tubing..blends in completely with my back of tank being black..

 

fixed it just switched heads on the powerhead ^^^^ i thought you needed a LOT of little bubbles?

 

put the airline tubing on the middle little tube thing.. u should be getting a ton of bubbles or put it on another one of the tubes..if not u did it wrong...maybe snap a pic..

 

there so many bubbles the water in the skimmer looks white....

 

That black plastic box looks like a prefilter- or possibly a bubble trap.

 

It'll settle down after a few days once it gets a slime coat built up.

the overflow box is to low IME - I do not have this skimmer but have had similar

all advice above re bubbles is good

what you can also try is - turn of the unit
close down the air valve so no air can get through the tube
then switch on unit
allow the pump to work for a few seconds and then gradually open the air valve to let air in
