    i have always owned fish but my boyfriend and i recently decided to go saltwater. we bought a really nice 29 gallon tank off craigslist for 100 bucks. it came with a stand, filter, heater, light, and a few freshwater supplies. we just bought a new light and pump (180 gallons) yesterday and a friend of mine gave me a few pieces of some dead LR. today i am going to a great local place called oceans above (mainly saltwater fish, supplies, and maintenance service) to buy some live sand and premixed saltwater. maybe some live rock too. i was hoping someone can give us some tips on how we should go about curing our LR or any other advice is much appreciated ;D thanks

    since you're just starting out, you can cure it in your tank as it cycles.
