    Keep the forty reef and set up the 75 fo. Just getting a second tank up is 90% of the battle. Stock the new tank with reef safe fish and wait for the right timing to convert it to full reef.

    I always end up turning everything into a reef, LOL! However, I can see advantages to keeping the 75 as FO...there are some fish that I love, but can't be kept in a reef.

    That is why I initally wanted to do the 75 as a fish only. There are alot of fish I like that can't be in a reef, but also need a bigger tank.
