Im moving.. So im..downgrading?

I will be moving here in the next few weeks and where I am moving I just cant keep the 55 anymore. I posted on a craigslist 3 hours ago.. and got a hit. If the guy comes through Ill be getting a metal halide and ro/di (No more trips to the store YIPPY) and maybe a clam. I will be moving into a 29T. I painted the back today and am debating on drilling and putting an overflow in. My fluval worked fine I just want a real clean look. Getting an in-line heater. The only thing I want in the tank is a K2. Well any suggestions would be good. I will post pics as soon as I get it up and running.

 

a skimmer would be good if you don't have one, if you get a octopus you will only have a 2 tubes in the the tank

 

Be careful on the drilling. If it was a boxed kit (in other words it comes in a box with, filter, heater etc.) All box kits from All-Glass are tempered glass & can NOT be drilled. I learned that from a Tech at All-Glass. Walmart, Petco, etc order that tanks that way. Bowed tanks are tempered as well. Look for labels or stamps on the glass, if not call the mfg of the tank.

 

6 Months Later...

Well its been 6 months since I posted that Id be downgrading. I have done so. My plans did not work out exact but its been going pretty well. If you guys follwed my threads I had a purple damsel... Hes still alive... over a year later. I also have a green eel goby. Thats all Ive really gotten lately. A few mushrooms, a sponge and a healthy fast growing patch of star polyps as well. Equipment wise all I have a done is switched to metal halide lighting, 250w. This is where the tank has been sitting for about three months untouched.


But.... After trading my motorcycle( A 125cc enduro that was just to learn on this is what I will be upgrading to.


I will be dissasebling my halide and mounting it in the middle of the canopy.
Any comments or sugesstions are welcome.
