Odyssea T5 High Output Lighting

 

The worst thing you can do for your tank is cheap out on something like lighting. The light you choose will determine what you keep in the future. Odyssea's are cheaply built. Cheap reflector's, cheap bulbs, cheap everything(this is my opinion though). Do you have a budget? I would not advise getting it. What type of tank and what do you plan on keeping?

 

Not the best reflectors and have had electrical short issues in the past. Did you read the posts on the page? Great price but not sure how much you will pay for shipping. You will definitely need to replace the bulbs that come with the unit. The bulbs are not cooled by a fan.

What corals do you intend to keep with the unit?

Its just cycling now, but eventually down the road I wanted to do coral, do you have any suggstions, ie a link, I dont wont to go wayyy overboard on some lights...i know that is what is expected in this hobby though

 

I would pass on it. try to find something decent used if price is an issue and replace the bulb.

What size tank is it? Do you have a local reef club near you? You can even browse craigslist for people getting out of the hobby.

Let us know what size tank. Please give all dimensions. We could probably give you some good suggestions with that data.
