impulse buy mistake

    Mine lasted three weeks before it started to disintegrate. My tank was three or four months old when I make that impulse, no research buy. So I feel for ya. If you know anyone who has a mature tank that is willing to try it out, that may be a route. If you lived closer, I would buy it from you and try it in mine, as I am a year into it. If the store is reputable, they will accept it back at least for store credit. That advise of no special care, while kinda sorta accurate, is nowhere near complete. You never have to feed it, but it requires expert care.

    what john, hes just around the corner from you. lol. if it was winter, you could take dog sled and be here in no time at all. my tank is almost 8 months, but thats prob not aged enough either?

    You have a better shot. About the same as me actually. Four months is just barely cycled. Do you live close? And how are your nitrates?

    they are constantly in the 5-10 range. and yes we would be close to one another
