Hi I currently am running a 55 gallon FOWLR tank and am looking to go full on reef. My only hesitation is I live in an apartment, and will most likely move within the next 5 years. What I'm wondering is how difficult is it to move a reef tank of this size? Currently I don't have a sump or skimmer set up so that is another thing I would need to do. I just need a plan in case I do decide to move them so I don't end up foolishly crashing my tank or killing half my corals.

I have no plans to move cross country or anything either.

Had a friend who purchased an existing, 6-yr-old reef tank a few months ago- he got it moved and set back up the same day. That one did have a sump. The main trick is to keep the rocks wet and don't disturb the sand bed. Of course, if you need to make up all new water, you'll need to get the temp up to normal and acclimate everything as if it were newly purchased...

I was mostly worried about keeping the corals from drying out and or dying and releasing toxins into the water.
