In sump fuge design, will this work?

    I have a 30" sump right now for my 65 soon to be 90 aquarium. I really want to add a refugium so I can have some Chaeto and mangroves going. I am thinking on grabbing a large square tupperware container, about 8 x 8 x 15" tall that I am planning on adding about 4 inches of live sand, and chaeto, I will drill holes all over it for water flow, and I will put a light over it. Will this work? This will fit perfectly on my the other side of my sump where my filter sock is not.
