Okay, I'm not sure that this is possible or if it's ever been done (new to the marine aquarium thing................again), but is there such thing as an "in sump heater"? *Some type of heater i can leave in the sump to heat the tank so I don't *have to see that annoying electric cord going down into the tank?

Like I said, I'm not sure if this is even possible because of the water flow in the sump, as it may have to work extra hard.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I have my heater in my sump with no problems as of yet. I do have it set for 83 so that my tank is at 78.

Awesome! I guess now the next question is what's the recommended/best heater for this application? I've got a 37 gallon tank.

I love the fluval heaters, they have an LCD screen so it acts as a temp gauge ( to .5), has an alarm for cold or high temps and has a nice enclosure. I also agree that if you have a sump the heater belongs there :)
