In tank Fuge

    is there any possible way to make a in tank refugium without having to purchase the crazy expensive ones

    Get any plastic container and add holes. Then just point a PH in one of the holes.

    I am not sure why you would want an in tank refugium. But all you need is some plaxiglass - fashion a box, drill some holes in the sides and install a small pump if its not in a flow area....done, cheap.

    Refugiums are swamps - not the most attractive things to look at.

    i see the reason i ask is because i thought an in tank refugium would be easier than the pain in the but i have now:p but idk

    It might be but its definately not the best way to go. If you are just looking for a small supplement then I think they look like a good deal. Im putting one in my sea horse tank Ill let you know how it goes.

    I use a container like they use to catch fish at lfs,cost $12,jost drilled a bunch of 1/4 inch holes added cheato hung in tank near filter output for some flow.Yes its ugly,yes it works,cheato is growing,nitrates are down from 20 to 5 in six weeks.

    i purchased a 2 way breeder at my lfs the other day stuffed the hell out of it with macro algea and poured 2 things of reef nutriotion tiger pods into it and so far so good, 8$ refugium right there
