thanks all, its a 90 in which I will transfer my coral from my 225 and then make the 225 a predator tank. Wife has been wanting a puffer but have been telling her they don't go with coral. So finally the other day at lfs they had a puffer and she said why don't you go ahead and get a second tank :)

I am planning to add a bathroom ventilation fan in the closet to draw out the moisture, I also have an A/C vent in there as well

Green spotted puffers rarely bother any corals. You should look into those. They do tend to attack all of your snails, crabs, and shrimp though. I got lucky because mine never bothers snails or hermits, guess I feed him enough of what he likes.

Flaring - do you do any acclimation for the green spotted puffer? I know they are brackish and I only tried to keep one in my tank quite a while ago when it was FO and it didn't live real long. I wasn't sure if it had anything to do with the salt level? what do you feed yours?

I just acclimated him in the bag in a tank. Took an entire day but he never showed any signs of stress from it. Didn't use a dripping method either, just scooped a small amount out and then put the same amount in every 15-30 minutes. I get the San Francisco Bay Saltwater Multipack and put a cube in each day. All the fish love it, and he definitely gets a lot more than anyone else. It's probably a lot more food than most people give on here (for the tank size) but I just let the hermits get the rest and let green hair algae grow in all the rock in the sump and pull that out with the monthly water change - never have any nitrates. I once tried putting chaeto in and it was tossing in the current like suggested but it couldn't compete with all of the green hair algae. Doesn't really matter to me because none of it grows in the display.

Edit: Also, I breed pond snails in the sump of my turtle habitat and hand feed them to him to keep his teeth from growing out too much. I give him a few a day.

When you put a tank in the wall, the biggest concerns are:

    - Access to the tank, primarily for cleaning
    - Access to the sump/equipment

I had a tank in the wall once and the tank cleaning was a royal pain. I had a room behind it (essentially a large closet) so sump access was easy.
