Is it possible to increase my Ph without increasing my dKH. My Ph fluctuates from 7.85 during the day to 8.00 at night. But I have alwas thought it should be 8.1 to 8.3 ish. All my coral seem fine (and they have been for years) I am just concerned because I have some new Acropora and am new to the whole SPS.

I have my powerheads pointed at the surface.....

Any help would be great. Thanks!:-/

Your pH goes....up...at night? Usually it dips down a bit...

Weird pattern but within a decent range. Should be fine as long as it stays above 7.8.

Could the backwards ph pattern be a result of a reverse lighting schedual on a refugium?I don't know,i'm just asking for myself as well.

Should keep the pH more steady. But if the fuge is loaded and the DT has little live rock that could be possible. I should test my pH at day and night and see what is happening.

I think my Ph goes up at night cause thats when I dose me alk

So...I guess 7.85 (the lowest it gets) is acceptable.

Another fantastic explanation. Thanks for clearing that up. Open the house up to get as much CO2 out as possible. Is the tank covered with a canopy?

I'm gonna agree with 2in10 here, and say it's likely an oxygen issue.
