    I've read this too, schackmel. Some swear by peppermints, but many others comment that they just don't work.

    I have yet to see an aiptasia in my tank, thankfully, and hope I never do--so I can't speak from experience here.

    As for the QT full of peppermint shrimp idea, wouldn't you think that after you put the "cleaned" rock back into the DT and grab another rock for treatment, by then the cleaned rock would become reinfested? Again, I don't know how fast they multiply--but I've read aiptasia spread like wildfire.

    I had one peppermint that ate aiptasia out of the 6 I have owned total. And sad to say, my pistol shrimp killed the tasia fighter!

    Its actually a picture from the Detroit Zoo. I took that picture from inside a tunnel where the Polar Bear was sitting...Was really sweet. I personally like the penguins though :)

    I have had peppermint shrimp eat my aiptasia anemones. I right now have a out break and just bought three for my smaller tank. I do not know how big your qt is but why not but the nigger in there? And put a couple peppermint in your DT?

    :-/Hi man had the same prob and went to my retailer to buy a pepemmint shrimp but he told me he had a better idea and sold me a bottle of aiptasia xby red sea you must cover the whole thing with this stuffand mine died straght away without releasing there little offsprings. hope this helps
