Harlequin shrimp are very picky. They might or might not eat asterina stars, or the little brittle stars.

I suggest those to people that have the time, $$, and knowledge to house them.

I have one brittle star.....came in on a shipment of coral. While in the observation tank I caught him creeping around. I plopped him right in the DT!! I love them....need more. Just found out I may need to get rid of my asterina stars though because they're the blue variety?

Agreed. Mine is in a tank with a serpent star and hasn't touched it. I also had one in a tank w/asterina and it didn't eat them.

    Thanx for all the comments...
I dropped that post and then left out of town for a few daze...: ( But In regards to the most popular opinions...No, they really dont seem to be doing any damage...they get wrapped up in the base of most of the corals...but it seems as if they dont mind...so I guess, why should I ? ...I do believe I am seeing some that are making it to a larger size...lets say about the size of a quarter...that would be a large one in my tank....the LFS dont want them unless they have some substatial size to them...I have thrown them in the sump...hope'n they would mature..but still not seeing to many larger ones...maybe something is eating them, slowly...I have seen the Manderin power down a small one here and there...I guess time will tell.....lets get to grow'n...so I can sart trade'n em.. : )
    They are cool little guyz...
    Thanx again

They are more than likely not getting larger because they are probably micro-brittlestars and a quarter-sized one would be full-grown.

I love my micro brittles, especially when they climb on the glass!

There you have it. Sell them to the pet store as "teacups" or "mini's" and jack up the price, someone will buy them.

So as I have done a little homework and it is as stated in these responses..mini/micro brittles...so I have "alot " that are mature....think I will start to quarentine some of the larger ones I get from the filter sock and korillas...lets see how it goes.
    Thanx again.

Timbo.........I would say natural predator, or, trap. You may want to see if Johnmaloney/reefcleaners is interested in them.
EDIT: I got the Sunday ticket this year.
