I'll be starting my 75 gallon reef tank soon and put together a list of fish I'd like. If you've got any suggestions or experience with these let me know. As I said, this is a preliminary list and I'll be relying heavily on your suggestions.
Either my false perc that I have, or a mater pair of B&W clowns
    The Starry Blenny I've got
A sandsifting goby, I'm thinking a Diamond Goby
    A Kole Tang
A Chevron Tang (unless they would fight, then I'll stick with the Chev.)
    Possibly a Leopard Wrasse
    Eventually a Mandrin
    and a Royal Gramma

That's between 7 and 9 fish over the next year or so. Christmas looks like a skimmer and a Nikon for me but I'll be cycling without. What do ya'll think?

I would not have two tangs in that size tank, especially with the other fish. The rest sounds good, although leopard wrasses can be finicky eaters, you may need to start it off with live food.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if I could get away with it. I know it'll be my last addition and the Chevron was definately my favorite.

My LFS has got a mated pair (leopard wrasses) feeding off flake (or so they say) so maybe if those are still there when I'm ready.

Yep, I wouldn't try two tangs. But you may be able to get away with it.
What I wouldnt do is try both a wrasse and mandarin. Wrasses of any type are serious pod eaters, there won't be much left for a slower mandarin. I would decide on one or the other.

:) I like the lineup, I personally would say Chevron Tang. Heh. Probably cause I have one. They are so adorable when they are Juvies. On the clowns I would say B&W. I dont see them to often in LFS and when I do they are so adorable to watch :D.
    Best of wishes.

I had a full grown 8" inch chevron and it lokked like he was a little cramped in my 72 but i guess a juv. would work.

+1 all the comments so far but would add just to make sure you're aware the chevrons don't age gracefully and end up with pretty bland colors as adults IMO.

I was still on the fence about the wrasses. Looks like I'll be elimintaing them then - mandrins are much cooler IMO. I'll have to google adult chevron tang... meh yeah a little bland. So I'd like to get a cool tang for it, what would ya'll suggest? I'd also like to have some more worker fish - like the sandsifting goby, something that has a job. Any suggestions there?

Is seems like my tank is going to have so much more room.
