Well im not sure if he was stuck or the rock shifted or what - was doing a small scheduled water change (10gal) and was vacumming the rock and the rock above shifted a little so i grabbed it, well once i picked it up i couldnt put it down on him grrrr - so i slightly moved the rock he was on and was able to put the top rock in a more stable place. (Lesson, i wish i would have cemented the rockwork) -
Anyway as soon as the rock as moved he opened way up - check this pic out -

See the small ball of slightly drawn up tentacles in the center? when i look at that closely in the flow it looks like he is splitting that piece off around his mouth, e.g. the mouth is part on one and part on the other... wierd cause the injury wasnt near his mouth or tentacles -

EEEEK - last night soon as the lights went out he moved to the other side of tank and is buried hidden in the live rock out of view. Ive always read just let him be and eventually he will come out on his own... but dang it!

Update: - he spent the last week and half buried deep in the rocks, came out yesterday and looking GREAT, found a spot he liked and was filled up all day. Just turned on the lights a few minutes ago and not he looks dead, deflated almost flat, mouth open - so i nudged him lightly, his foot is firmly stuck, he did "react" to my slight touch with movement - so i guess Ill let him be and see if he is gonna be dead by end of the day...

    *sigh* and *grrrr*

Well here is another first for me.... Nem was on the move last night, when i went to bed at 1am he was moving around looking great.

I woke up to find my 7" diameter Favia eating the Nem..... he was upside down in the favia encased in a webbing/mucas membrane... looks lifeless and im pretty sure dead :((

    This sucks - always wanted a nem - :((

    Bleh!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    That is a bummer.

If you really want nems it's best to have a anemone designed themed tank.
A nem can not out run the mesenterial filaments of a LPS. Basically they need a wide birth and you need luck. Sure they may stay in one place for many, many months but eventually they will move and things will grow into their real estate.

That was the wierd part, when i went to bed the anem was at the top of the tank moving across the rocks. Not sure how it got to the bottom of the tank on top of the favia. Wife is heart broke. She really liked the anem, as did I, but it was more her pick cause she really dug it. We were slow to buy it and it may be a good while before we risk another - such a bummer.....
