    It's been there, and it's been happy there...eating, growing, etc.

    I only noticed it not opening all the way yesterday and then it started dropping polyps.

    I would hit it 3 days in a row , I think one will maybe stop the pregression of the flesh RTN .. Its a bacterial problem and Iodine should stop it or at least slow it. It may never recover ? I have seen them loose the whole head just lift righ up off the the skeleton and break up into many little chunks and fall or float away , I have seen them also do this as a stress induced way to save/spawn themselves .

    Should I snap off the sick head in an attempt to save the healthy one? It's looking much worse, I'll take of pic of it in a bit. The color is good, but it's losing polyps still.

    that sounds like a parasite, but i dont know of any that attack the euphyllia species.... hope someone else can chime in with more info.

    If it was me, I would defiantly separate heads at this point. keep doing the dips, but keep the apart in the tank.
