It's been about 3 weeks since I set up my Nuvo 8. Some how I accumulated patience through the years and have yet to place a single coral in the tank. I keep telling myself, "Just let it cycle!"

Just a few days ago I added the Apex Jr. by Neptune Systems as a key component to little set up.(Thanks to a gracious friend) Life just got easier and less worrisome with the Jr. For this blonde, the setup was easy and the application more than user friendly. The look of the cloud based application is sleek and easy to maneuver. Thanks to Bulk Reef for some of the instructional videos.

I have frequenting my local store after work daily to view my future purchases. I'm starting to think the store owners are getting impatient with me-as salt and RO water are my only purchases.

    Current Specs:
    • Black sand-This really makes the tank look sexy
    • 3 pieces of Pukani rock-still need to obtain a few more pieces(scaping is still needed)
    • 4-Blue legs
    • 1 Nassarius snail-clean up crew
    • 1 shell with coralline
The stand is from Ikea-Kallax. A sturdy stand that I will buy doors for eventually.(I don't have the best of photos representing this stand)

Since I live in South Florida I am actually going to try to keep the tank as much Atlantic/Caribbean life as possible. Just a personal preference, even though I know Im limiting myself on some beautiful specimens.

    Nicely done.

Atlantic/Caribbean stocking choice will probably include Gorgonians and Ricordia, which will make wonderful tank.

LOL @ local fish store owners getting impatient, excellent! They've probably figured out you've done your research.

    Corailline-
Rics are top of my list. I've seen some nice ones lately. The local store, Elite Marine, just so happens to be having an anniversary sale today and tomorrow. It's going to be hard not to buy something. I'll just pop in again for more salt and ro today. Looks like diving is on my agenda for the afternoon.

Just got back from my dive. The viz was 50-60. On the shallow reef I saw many lion fish. I like to call them "football" sized. They are eating too well. The lobsters are also coming out of hiding. I saw a pretty cool blenny. It was solid black with peach around the eyes. Ive never seen one like it here before.

Then of course checked on my tank. It looks desert like without life!

sounds really nice diver! I can only snorkel - only tried diving once and it was a disaster :( something I've always wished I could do.
