Everything I read said 70-75 gallon for the regal tang...so I thought it would be okay...I'll do some more research.

Thanks for your opinion on the stocking order.

The girl won't be a girl for long if it's kept without a male. All Genicanthus are protygenous hermaphrodites.:)

You don't like the male coloration? It's actually pretty interesting to witness the change.

The male is pretty...but I reeeeally like the female. She's brighter and her markings are more interesting. I really wanted a bellus because they are reef safe. Now I'm sad.

If you like angels I say go with Centropyge in a 90 gallon. I know they can be risks but I honestly have heard way more success stories than failures. Probably one of the safest species of Centropyge is C. multicolor because it inhabits fairly deep water and feeds strictly on algae and sponges in the wild, not coral polyps.:)

This is what Live Aquaria said about the multicolor: Not a good reef dweller, the Multicolor Angelfish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles

With all due respect to liveaquaria I trust Keyoshi Endoh (author of angelfishes of the world) a little more. C. Multicolor inhabits the marshall islands at depths deep enough that many will never even see a coral in their life time. Of course this doesn't mean it is guranteed never to touch a coral its just one of the safer species of Centropyge.
